Memorial Portraits

When someone we love is gone, a portrait can hold them close. We create memorial portraits of people and animals with patience, care and no pressure to hurry.

A gentle process

  • Take your time. Your consultation moves at your pace. You can share stories, look through photos with us, or simply tell us what you remember most.
  • Any photos will do. Older, blurry or imperfect photos can still become beautiful portraits. Send everything you have, and we will choose the best together.
  • Bring them together. With our memorial photo merge, your artist can place a loved one beside the family, reunite pets who never met, or set a portrait in a place that meant something.

Choosing a medium

  • Charcoal or pastel (Paper Collection): soft, timeless and quietly moving, behind museum glass.
  • Oil (Oil Collection): warm, rich and lasting, for a portrait that becomes the heart of a room.
  • Studio portrait: ready sooner, for an anniversary or a service.

As a gift

A memorial portrait is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give someone who is grieving. If you would like it to be a surprise, we will work with you quietly and can send a gift certificate so they choose the photo themselves.

Extra prints for family

Siblings, parents and grandparents often want a copy. Once your portrait is finished, we can make unframed giclée prints of it for everyone who loved them.

Your privacy

Memorial portraits are never shared publicly without your explicit permission.
